Irises are a popular pond plant for all water gardeners. An iris blooms in the spring, sometime between May and July with the flowers that rise above the leaves of the plant, and will often appear to be floating on air. Water garden irises blend well with many other pondside plants, especially those pond plants that grow closer to the water surface and have delicate foliage.
